More surprises for our children. When I was young we had no TV until the 1966 World Cup. It was, of course, black and white, and the station went off the air at midnight, after the national anthem.

We never had a telephone, and pizzas weren’t delivered to our house, but milk was.

Film stars kissed with their mouths shut. Films were made for everyone to enjoy without swearing or violence or naked people having sex.

We never owned our own house, wore jeans, set foot on a golf course, went abroad or had a credit card.

How times change.
