You know how coffee shops can give you a loyalty card which is stamped every time you buy a drink?
Well, I reckon you can tell the recession’s over when people just can’t be bothered getting their coffee shop loyalty cards out of their wallets or purses to have them stamped.
When the recession was on they’d be desperate for any freebie.
But if there’s no recession they just think: ‘Stuff it, I can’t be bothered getting it out, it’s only a free cup of coffee anyway.’
It’s the same with Nectar cards if you do a shop which costs less than a fiver.
You can’t be bothered adding the points to it because they’re so minimal. Catch Steve Power at Breakfast, Monday to Friday, 5.30am to 9am, on Wave 105.
