Have your say

Did you know that hospices in this country have to raise more than £1m per day just to keep going?

I didn’t until a friend completed the London Marathon this weekend – she ran for Help the Hospices – and managed an awesome time (to my mind anyway) and raised a good chunk of cash.

I had a look at this charity’s website and discovered that there are all sorts of events to take part in, from runs across the UK to cycling from London to Paris (with a measly £1,300 minimum sponsorship requirement).

Bearing in mind the incredible work that hospices do – and the fact that any of us might just need their help one day – isn’t it worth having a think about?

I may just be inspired to find a challenge and Help the Hospices myself.
