We must all make the most of William and Kate’s wedding

Child refugees: more cash is needed from the government

COMMENT: Government needs to dig deep to find extra cash

Have your say

So a prince was due to marry his princess today – and this time it’s not a romanticised way of looking at a new couple about to go down the aisle, but a real-life fairy tale. William is an actual prince and Kate really will be his princess.

Please indulge me if you can because I love all this. I’ll be watching avidly as the royal couple get hitched.

Where are you watching it? Maybe as you’re reading this column you’re taking part in one of the many street parties that are planned across the Portsmouth area.

Or maybe you’re going to watch it all at home with friends or family.

Whatever you’re up to, remember to make the most of it because there may never be another Royal wedding of quite this significance in our lifetime.
