I was at the Cascades shopping centre in Portsmouth, manning the Kings Theatre stand with fellow volunteer Rosie Costello, when Rosie noticed a man nearby who appeared to be having some difficulties breathing.
She went over to speak to him to offer help, but he said he didn’t want to cause a fuss.
Rosie could have left it there. Many people would have done just that.
But instead she was concerned and alerted the brilliant security guys, who appeared in a flash with paramedics.
They treated the man and told me later that Rosie’s quick thinking had helped to saved his life.
How great to know that her caring instinct made such a difference. Well done Rosie, we’re all very proud of you!
