This year I’m delighted to have been appointed as writer-in-residence at the Havant Literary Festival.
The main festivities take place in October, but the festival was partly kicked off at the weekend by a panel of authors recommending their summer reads (me included).
That’s some choice to make, having to decide on just two books, one published in the last 12 months, and one published more than 10 years ago.
What books would you go for?
I managed to slip in a cheeky third book which made me feel very guilty, until the author next to me name-checked about 15.
I’m not sure if a list exists of our combined recommended reads, but come see me in October and I’ll tip you for the winter instead.
