Most people, myself included, have spent the past two weeks walking back and forth to the kitchen, putting on the kettle in between watching the beach volleyball and swimming.
But a 34-year-old man from London became so caught up with the Olympics whilst on holiday in France that he decided he would swim to New York.
He left his friends, flip-flops and beach towel behind and made his way out into the Atlantic for the 3,594-mile journey.
Now I know the British public were supposed to become inspired by the Olympics, but this was madness!
Whatever next? Are we going to see over-ambitious British tourists long jumping into quicksand, or attempting to kayak their way down Niagara Falls?
