RICK JACKSON: Girl power rules – at the age of two

Have your say

There has been so much press coverage this week regarding Lady Gaga being bridesmaid at her best friend’s wedding.

The coverage focused on the fact that Gaga was wearing a ‘normal’ bridesmaid outfit and how she looked like a plain, normal girl.

I don’t understand what all the fuss has been about. She was a bridesmaid – it wasn’t about her, or her crazy outfits or ridiculous shoes. It was about doing what her best friend wanted and, vitally, not upstaging the bride.

Why the world’s press have gone crazy, covering the wedding like it was the Super bowl, is beyond me.

I watched UK TV and they were analysing Gaga’s dress, even congratulating her for looking ‘normal’ for a day.
