T wo news reports concerning cannabis caught my eye this week.

One was about a pensioner who accidentally grew a cannabis plant in her back garden.

Apparently the seed had come from some bird food and the warm weather had helped it to grow.

It rose to more than five feet tall before it was identified by a local gardening radio show (via a photograph) and then disposed of safely.

The second was a TV news reporter in Alaska who resigned live on air after revealing that she owned a cannabis company featured in a news item (it seems she’s trying to make cannabis legal for those who need it for medical reasons).

Two very different ends ends of the cannabis spectrum, but both amused me.
