I’m starting to get a little more excited about the forthcoming Euro 2012 football championships.

The one thing I think that will help England? We’re not expected to win.

Since 1996 the ‘Golden Generation’ have been expected to deliver. Now, a well-organised but functional England do not seem to have the riches of the Spanish, German or Dutch squads.

Under new boss Roy Hodgson, we’ll be well organised at the back with the hope that our pace up front will scare teams.

Oxlade-Chamberlain and Young will be crucial for me, more so than Wayne Rooney. We won’t pass our way to the final, but we could bore our way! Denmark and Greece did, so why can’t we?
