Have your say

I’ve often wondered why it is that dog owners get fined for letting their pets foul the pavements and parks, but horse owners are free to let their mounts mess all over the place.

I’m not saying dog owners should get away without paying. But why don’t the rules and regulations apply to other animals?

I’ve seen some roads where horse dung is spread along quite a distance.

I think it’s time we saw horse owners carrying shovels and carrier bags!

And I’m not having the argument that horse poo is good for the soil.

Technically that may be true.

But tell me, when was the last time you saw someone riding a horse back it up to a vegetable patch to do its business?
