The bully boy supermarkets are at it again. Many people in Bishops Waltham don’t want a Sainsbury’s store in their town, yet planning permission has been granted.

Meanwhile, work has started on a Tesco store in probably the worst possible place in Fareham.

If the UK’s biggest supermarket felt it needed yet another store between its massive Bursledon and Portchester branches, surely a better spot could be found away from one of the south’s biggest bottlenecks?

Who would want to battle their way through all that slow traffic to get to it, I wonder?

Then again, I’m sure Fareham’s new spaghetti junction will solve all the problems!
