Have your say

I was shocked to read about the new trend among mothers-to-be in the UK.

Apparently they are spending lots of time and cash sprucing themselves up before they’re due to give birth.

Now, why oh why would you care what you look like? I couldn’t quite believe it, but it seems British women are having their hair done, applying the fake tan and having manicures and such just a few hours before they give birth.

I don’t know what shocks me more – the fact these women actually care about their appearance during what I can only assume is a rather painful and emotional time (am trying not to think too hard about this), or that a beautician is involved in procedures on women in labour. I’d run a mile!
