Work commitments shouldn't be put ahead of marriage

Child refugees: more cash is needed from the government

COMMENT: Government needs to dig deep to find extra cash

Well, I didn't see that coming.

Another Hollywood marriage comes to an end – this time it's acting heavyweights Ryan Reynolds (gorge!) and Scarlett Johansson (what a beauty), who have announced their separation just two years after their wedding.

They've cited work commitments and the pressures of being apart as the reasons behind the split.

Now I don't pretend to know or understand the pressures of Hollywood, but there wouldn't be any part of me who would put my work commitments ahead of my commitment to my marriage.

To me, marriage is sacred and a binding contract that shouldn't end just because one's work gets in the way.

Maybe that's the reason they're in Hollywood and I'm not!
