A big question for all Pompey fans. If you could, would you now sacrifice winning the FA Cup and making five Wembley appearances for the stability offered by former owner Milan Mandaric?

How would Pompey’s situation differ today if Milan had continued his stewardship?

Without doubt, the likes of Lassana Diara, Sulley Muntari and Sol Campbell would not have graced Fratton Park. Each season would have been about survival first.

But nobody can deny that Pompey’s rollercoaster ride in recent years has been enthralling – and it hasn’t stopped yet.

I say that whatever happens, we should have no regrets.
