The only person who should be under armed guard right now for the apparent demise of Top Gear should be Jeremy Clarkson.
Is the BBC being slightly over-cautious as their director general is put under 24-hour guard after a single death threat from abroad?
Maybe, but in my mind, this is the only time they have acted incorrectly.
They have been transparent and have taken their time to make (sadly) the correct decision.
Even that poor producer Oisin Tymon has shown loyalty to Clarkson by not pressing charges.
I loved him as the host of that show.
But you cannot go around thumping people when you do not get your own way.
I just wish everyone in this country would realise this.
