AN open day for apprentices to find out more about training courses is to be held in Portsmouth tomorrow.

It is taking place at PETA’s One Access Point Training and Conference Centre on Northarbour Road, Cosham, between 3.30pm and 7pm.

Rachel Gibbens, a PETA apprentice at The Kings Theatre, will tell people at the event how she has bought her first car and is free from student debt because she earns while she learns.

A presentation shown at 5pm and 6pm will give an overview of how apprenticeships work.

PETA Apprenticeships engagement officer, Nicola Smith, explained: ‘Families, schools, employers and anybody interested in alternatives to college are very welcome to come along and discover more this evening.’

There is no need to book a place, but log on to seepeta.co.uk/choices to find out more.
