THAT’S IT, the peace and quiet has returned!

The children are back at school and I am back writing for all you lovely readers who love to hear about what is going on in Gosport.

And it’s been a great summer for my family.

We have been to Wickham Festival where I volunteered to give people their wristbands while raising money for Two Saints charity.

We have enjoyed meals at Gunwharf Quays, pictured right. We shopped in Southampton, but our best times have been in our home town Gosport.

We enjoyed a birthday meal for my mum Angela Kent at The Cocked Hat and we raised £507.75 by holding FoxFest at The Fox Tavern for The Rhys Daniels Trust.

Also, my elder daughters and I enjoyed a ladies’ night at Made by Me in Lee-on-the-Solent.

Made by Me is a lovely little pottery painting shop run by Tina where you can let your imagination run wild.

Various pieces are already made and you just need to paint them.

Studio time is free and you only pay for the item you paint.

They hold children’s parties where up to 12 youngsters can paint a piece of pottery of their choice and the birthday boy or girl also recieve a plate with all their friends’ names on as a keepsake.

The next ladies’ night is on September 21 and I am really looking forward to it. You can take your own bottle of wine. Tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided.
