Parks need votes to win a national award

TWO parks have been nominated for the nation's favourite parks but need residents' votes to clinch the top award.

Holly Hill Woodland park and the Sensory Garden in Fareham were awarded prestigious Green Flag Awards in July and now have the chance to win the People's Choice Award for being the UK's favourite parks.

Executive Member for Streetscene at Fareham Borough Council, Councillor Simon Martin, said: '˜We are so proud of our parks and it would be great if our residents all voted so we could get some national recognition for these wonderful green areas.'
