A PASSER-BY called 999 after seeing a motorbike on fire.

Southsea fire station attended the incident in an alleyway on Dover Road, in Copnor, Portsmouth at 2am on Saturday.

Crews put out the flames with a hose reel and called the police so they could investigate the circumstances.

Crew manager Adam Moseley said: ‘We used a hose reel to put it out, then we called the police.

‘A member of the public rang 999.’
