WORSHIPPERS haunusud a few laughs after their pastor turned up to church in a onesie yesterday morning.

Dan Harman, who leads City Life Church, in Tangier Road, Baffins, led a bible reading at the altar yesterday morning wearing the outfit to highlight anyone from all walks of life is welcome to come along.

Rev Harman, pictured, was challenged by two members of the congregation to make the statement and he thought it would tie in perfectly with the church’s ‘come as you are’ slogan.

Lib Dem ward councillor Darren Sanders, praised the church on Twitter for the stunt and said it was a ‘real part of the community’.

Meanwhile, former drug addict Barry Woodward, of Manchester, will visit the church to talk about his life story on September 27 and 28.

Rev Harman said: ‘Barry has an amazingly inspirational story of hope to tell.

‘We all have a desire to make positive changes in our life in one way or another and Barry’s testimony will help motivate you to believe that change really is possible.’
