Patron wins award for support of Naomi House and Jacksplace

THE patron of a hospice has been honoured for his hard work and support.

Alastair Stewart, patron for Naomi House and Jacksplace, was recognised with the Charity Champion Award at the Third Sector awards night.

The TV newsreader was nominated for his work in support of the hospice and particularly its Caterpillar Appeal. Alastair fronted the appeal and helped inspire thousands of people to donate more than £4m.

Keith Wilson, marketing manager, said: ‘I’ve never met anyone quite like Alastair. His passion and enthusiasm for Naomi House and Jacksplace knows no bounds.’
