A CHARITY event that saw a team of cyclists journey around the south was a success.

Pedal for Primus, organised by Faith and Football, took place over the weekend and a group of people cycled from Fratton Park, to the home of AFC Bournemouth, before heading to Basingstoke FC’s ground and returning home.

This is the sixth year the event has taken place and the third time Pompey legend Linvoy Primus has joined in.

He said: ‘As always, the cycle was difficult but we had a fantastic time.

‘It only rained for about an hour over the whole weekend so we got quite lucky with that.

‘There were also no injuries apart from the normal achy legs and back so all in all it was a good trip. We also enjoyed the scenery which was just amazing in places.

‘It made the whole journey better because you could enjoy the surroundings.’

The total amount raised is unknown but the money will be counted in the coming weeks.
