FUNDRAISERS completed a 100-mile bike ride across Hampshire in a day for charity.

Nine employees from housing association firm First Wessex set off from its office in Wharf Road, Buckland, at 6am.

After visiting six other First Wessex offices across the county, they returned 10 hours later, to be greeted by colleagues.

They raised more than £1,000 for Cancer Research UK in sponsor money.

Daniel Morris, asset and planned maintenance manager at First Wessex in Eastleigh, took part.

He said: ‘The journey was quite gruelling at times.

‘The support we got from people on the roads and staff back at First Wessex offices kept us going.’
