A PENSIONER has died after suffering a medical emergency in a supermarket.

Paramedics and police were called to a concern for welfare of the 77-year-old at the store in Dock Road, Gosport.

It happened at 12.07pm on Tuesday.

A Hampshire police spokesman said: ‘Sadly the man died, the death is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner in due course.’

South Central Ambulance Service confirmed it transported the man to Queen Alexandra Hospital, in Cosham.
