PEOPLE are being urged to recycle more in 2015.

Havant Borough Council is recommending residents use the start of the new year as the perfect opportunity to reduce their household waste.

They can make use of the network of recycling facilities across the area to dispose of items that can be reused or recycled.

Peter Vince, operational services manager at the council, said: ‘Recycling and reusing your materials is a great way to save money and resources.

‘If you are not doing so already the new year is the ideal opportunity to get off to a perfect start.

‘Why not try to recycle at least one additional plastic bottle each week?

‘I hope everyone will take this opportunity to make sure they recycle or reuse.’
