GRANTS for voluntary groups across the Havant borough will be decided by polling events.

Organisations have applied for grants of up to £1,000 – and now it is up to the people to decide who gets the cash.

A total of £30,150 has been available from Hampshire County Council and Havant Borough Council under the scheme, run by Community First Havant and East Hampshire.

The first poll for Emsworth and Havant took place on Thursday.

The next will be at Waterlooville Community Centre on Monday from 6pm to 8pm.

Hayling’s vote will take place next Thursday between 6pm and 8pm at the United Reformed Church, in Hollow Lane.

The poll for Bedhampton and Leigh Park takes place on December 5 from 4pm to 6pm at Barncroft School.
