People turning 75 reminded to claim free TV license

Travel writer and explorer, John Pilkington is returning to Portsmouth as the guest of the Portsmouth Oxfam Group.

He will be giving an illustrated talk on his recent trip to Russia and Ukraine.

The event is on Friday at 6.45pm for a prompt 7pm start, at the Discovery Centre at the Roman Catholic Cathedral, Bishop Crispian Way.

There will be a variety of stalls with Fair Trade and Christmas goods), a light meal, a bar and raffle of Fair trade Goods.

Owen Plunkett, one of the organisers, said: ‘John Pilkington is a well- known speaker and Radio Four broadcaster. He captivates his audience with his fascinating talks, which are always illustrated with stunning photos’.
