ADULTS have been practising their weaving skills at a workshop at the City Museum.

Tutor Ann Richards worked with people to explore the basics of weaving.

Using simple, lightweight equipment and traditional and unconventional materials, people were able to experiment with colour and pattern to produce a range of different fabrics.

Ann said: ‘It seemed to go very well. These were mainly people who had skills in other crafts. They responded well because they are used to handling materials. It’s an opportunity for people to discover how fabrics are made even if they don’t know anything about it.’
