A TALK by a professional dowser will give an insight into the mysterious art.

Laurie Booth will address the Emsworth Maritime and Historical Society on dowsing, using examples drawn from his personal and work experience.

According to Dorothy Bone, the secretary of the society, there is evidence of divining – which is more recently known as dowsing – having existed since ancient times.

It was once considered to be an occult practice but a widening interest in its use is now emerging.

To learn more about the unusual subject go along to the talk on Monday, January 21, at 7.30pm in the Mountford Rooms, Church Path Community Centre, Church Path, Emsworth.

Admission for members of the Emsworth Maritime and Historical Trust is £1.50.

Non-members are also welcome at a charge of £3.
