Do people think when they press the button for a lift that it’s only there to serve them?
That must be the only reason that people will teeter right on the edge of where the doors open in order to make sure they get into the lift.
They must also think that a lift is a vortex and no one could possibly do what they will do in about 15 seconds time - get out the lift.
Why is it that life-waiters seem genuinely surprised there are people in lift that need to get out before they can get in?
It’s not difficult is it really, press the call button, wait aside, doors open, people come out and then you go in.
They’re the same kind of people that will crowd around tube and train doors, so eager to get in that it doesn’t matter people need to get out.
