A PLEA has gone out from the Stubbington Ark Animal Shelter to donate any leftover plants for the volunteer gardeners at the shelter to use.

Vanessa Eden, head of fundraising at the shelter, said: ‘Our team of volunteer gardeners have been extremely busy over the past few weeks, weeding, pruning and clearing our borders to make the shelter look welcoming for our visitors.

‘However, there is now a lack of plants to fill the spaces created.

The shelter in Ranvilles Lane, Stubbington, is open seven days a week from 10am to 4pm for all donations.
