Artist uses laser to create new display in Portsmouth

AN ARTIST who uses laser-cutting techniques is to display her latest work at a new exhibition.

Helen Snell is bringing her display, A Long Shadow, to the National Museum of the Royal Navy next week.

The display is the culmination of Helen’s three-year term as artist in residence at the museum, in Portsmouth’s Historic Dockyard.

She has used lasers and digital techniques to create her work, which includes wall reliefs in paper, large-scale steel sculptures, laser-cut digitally-printed fabrics, and 3D printed costume and body sculpture.

Her exhibition is set to open on Tuesday, November 15 and runs until January 29.
