FIFTY years of Ugandan independence will be celebrated with a barn dance.

The event at Buriton Village Hall, East Hampshire, is in aid of the Queen Elizabeth Country Park twinning project with the country.

Uganda’s High Commissioner Joan Rwabyomere will be guest of honour at the dance on September 22.

The fun starts at 7pm and guests are invited to take along their own alcohol.

A donation of £10 per person is suggested. To buy tickets call Steve Peach on 07540 930092 or (023) 9259 5040.
