Best pictures as RNLI May Day fundraising campaign gets a great start at Hayling beach

A former lifeboat station turned restaurant held a fun day on the water in aid of the RNLI’s May Day fundraising campaign.

The Inn on the Beach, which was Hayling Island's first lifeboat station, gave residents a chance to have a go at stand-up paddleboarding, rowing, kayaking and surfing at its Friends on the Water taster day. Hayling’s lifeboat crew staged a board, boat and helicopter rescue also. Proceeds from the event will all go to the RNLI’s May Day campaign, to ensure crews are kitted out for efficient rescue operations.
