AN APPEAL to reunite a photograph with its owner has been shared thousands of times on the internet.
Shaun Kara, from Whiteley, found the vintage snap of a woman on the floor by a cash machine in Bishop’s Waltham.
The caring 40-year-old posted about his find on Facebook, hoping that somebody may be able to help him track down the photograph’s owner and give it back to them.
He was surprised to see his post go viral and be shared more than 2,600 times.
Shaun, a photographer and martial arts trainer, said: ‘It’s gone beyond all my expectations.’
But the social media storm has not proved fruitful and no one has yet come forward to say they know anything about the picture.
Shaun said: ‘There has been no leads yet but it’s gone even more viral and hopefully someone will get in touch.’
The small photo shows a woman, believed to be in her 30s, in a sepia tone which looks like it could have been taken in the 1950s or earlier.
It has some damage to it, where it has either been held or has rubbed against something. Shaun said he would even use his photography skills to repair the picture before returning it.
He found the picture by the Barclays ATM, in The Square on Thursday, July 2. After asking shoppers in the area, he posted on Facebook.
