A LANDLORD and former star of Britain’s Got Talent has left his popular pub.

Herbie Armstrong, a former session musician with Van Morrison, was at the helm of The Fountain Inn, Rowlands Castle, for 14 years.

He left last month and is believed to now live at his home in Spain with his wife and their dogs.

Long-standing barmaid Sandra Kinge has taken over as manager and says it’s business as usual.

Sandra said: ‘I would like everyone to know that we are still open and we will have the same brilliant events, plus more.

‘There will be the usual live music, open mic nights and also quiz nights.’

The lease has been taken over by the owners of the Taste of India restaurant which is next door to the pub.

Herbie appeared on Britain’s Got Talent in 2011.
