Burnt breakfast prompts emergency response from fire service in Cosham

BURNT breakfast ignited an emergency response from firefighters this morning.

Two fire crews from Cosham were scrambled to Connaught House, off Southwick Hill Road, behind Queen Alexandra Hospital, at 7am.

It came after an automatic fire alarm was triggered, prompting the emergency response.

When crews arrived at the scene it was discovered ‘unattended cooking’ had activated the alarm.

Nobody was injured during the incident and no property was damaged.

Crews left a few minutes after arriving.
