The cafe, which was formerly a Spar grocers, is owned by 59-year-old Fran Bushill.

She said: ‘We’ve been here 30 years and have had some wonderful customers who have kept us going, as well as some very loyal staff, who have worked here for 20 to 30 years.

‘I think the cafe is so popular because I do all the cooking myself on the premises, and it’s seen as home-cooking that mums make.

‘I do Sunday roasts and a big breakfast which is ideal for workers in the morning.’
