NURSERY parents and staff have held cake sales to raise money for projects including a garden renovation.

Their efforts raised £288 for Woodentots, the on-site nursery at HMS Collingwood naval base in Gosport.

Woodentots Parent Staff Association member Lieutenant Commander Heidi London said: ‘We’ve held a number of fundraisers this year with the aim of raising money for projects around the nursery, including the ongoing garden renovation.

‘It’s important to fund this as the children spend a lot of time within these areas and it needs to be suitable.’
