A MAN who stole a £300 camera has been jailed.

Steven Wilson took the Canon camera from a property in Wadham Road, North End, Portsmouth, between September 23 and 26.

Wilson, of Howard Road, Hilsea, Portsmouth was arrested shortly after and initially denied the theft but he changed his plea to guilty when he appeared at Portsmouth Magistrates’ Court.

The 39-year-old, who was serving a community order for a previous offence at the time, was jailed for 56 days.
