DOMESTIC violence will be on the agenda at schools across East Hampshire.

The organisation which tackles domestic abuse in the area is appealing for a local business to sponsor a competition which it hopes will engage young people in the issue.

The East Hants Independent Domestic Violence Forum is inviting secondary school children from across the district to design a new logo for the group.

And it is urging a local business step forward to sponsor the contest and offer a prize for the winners.

The winning logo will be used on the forum’s posters and paperwork

The East Hants Independent Domestic Violence Forum, which is in the process of registering as a charity, is comprised of members who all work in the area of domestic violence, including legal representatives and women’s groups such as Women’s Wisdom, Women’s Aid.

It works to provide an overall strategy that will combat domestic violence in East Hampshire.
