THE Salvation Army Haven Community Centre in Portsmouth will celebrate its 20th anniversary this month.

The centre has played a significant part in the life of the city, offering many services to the local community.

There are a large team of around 100 volunteers and 35 staff with a children’s nursery, charity shop, furniture project, food bank and more.

An official celebration will take place on Wednesday, September 24 at the centre in Lake Road at 3.30pm. There will be free coffee and cake.
