GLORIOUS Goodwood will be a star-studded event next week.

Celebrities will be out in force at the five day race meeting in West Sussex.

The opening ceremony on Tuesday will see Frankie Dettori in the saddle.

After racing, a Lord’s Taverners Twenty20 cricket match, featuring some big names from racing, cricket and the celebrity world, takes place in front of Goodwood House at 6pm.

It’s free to attend with a barbecue during the course of the evening.

On Wednesday, Frankel, owned by Prince Khalid Abdulla of Saudi Arabia and valued at £100m, will make his last run in the south east and potentially his penultimate career run. After racing, singer Paloma Faith will perform.

The most anticipated and glamorous day of the week is Ladies’ Day on Thursday where a star-studded line-up of celebrity jockeys will grace the turf. Vivien Westwood, Kate Moss and Amanda Wakely have designed the silks for the race which is in aid of Spinal Research and Winston’s Wish.
