THERE will be a fundraising Christmas fair for The Rowans Hospice on Saturday.

The fair will be at Portsmouth Cathedral in Old Portsmouth and start at 6.15pm.

Groups including the Havant Pitchpipers and Mayville High School Junior Choir will be there to sing carols, and Portsmouth City Brass Band and the Pompey Pluckers will also perform.

Gifts including calendars, hand-crafted goods and toys will be on sale.

Community fundraiser Denise Fry from the hospice in Purbrook said: ‘We are delighted to be holding our annual carol and festive fair event at Portsmouth Cathedral.

‘The choirs and bands will be performing everyone’s favourite Christmas carols, followed by the opportunity to buy cards and gifts.

‘100 per cent of the profit from the sale will support our services for people affected by life-limiting illnesses in Portsmouth and south-east Hampshire.’

Tickets are £5, for more call (023) 9223 8532 or e-mail fundraising@rowanshospice.co.uk.
