Children dream up their own charity event for Naomi House
Dream Catchers held a fun day at the Scout Hut, in Farlington, which was an enormous success.
Caroline Brennan, the assistant manager, said: ‘During September, all the children worked hard writing letters to local figures and businesses to request prize donations.

‘Local businesses and some very kind members of the public donated an array of fantastic prizes, including a photo shoot from His and Her Story Photography, hair vouchers from The Hair Lounge, beauty treatments from Tantastic Tanning, Horizon soft play sessions and pitch hire at Goals. Manic Bounce generously provided the children with a bouncy castle for the afternoon.
‘We were especially touched by a local lady named Sonja Forsyth who saw our request for donations on an online community group page. Sonja donated two huge teddies for the raffle and name the ted game.
‘The children were absolutely thrilled when she visited them to give them the prizes.

Portsmouth Football Club provided the Dream Catchers children with a signed Pompey shirt for a secret auction – which raised more than £200.
