There are fresh hopes to reunite Barry the three-legged cat with his owners after his hiding place was discovered.

Chris Coley, a cleaner at the Lakeside North Harbour complex, left food for the missing cat this morning before spotting Barry’s face in some bushes near the lake at the business park.

A cat trap will be laid near Barry’s last known location early tomorrow morning.

Owner Lacey Baulf, from Fratton, said: ‘I really pray that it’s Barry but I don’t want to get my hopes up. I don’t think it could be anyone else.’
