A WICKHAM food store is inviting good causes to apply for up to £20,000 funding.

The money is part of The Southern Co-operative’s community support card (CSC) scheme, which sees shoppers present a card every time they shop.

Last year, the store donated £10,000 to 1st Wickham scout group and the Meon Valley Lions club.

Retail business manager, Pete Wearn, said: ‘We are very open to local groups and event organisers approaching us for help and support with community activities. If you know of a local good cause which would benefit from a share of £20,000 to be donated this year, do encourage them to visit the store and complete a CSC application form.’

The closing date is the end of March.
