KATE Turner is stepping down as the leader of an influential residents’ panel in Havant.

Mrs Turner took over the role of chairing Havant and Bedhampton Community Network last year.

But she has decided to step down due to family commitments.

Mrs Turner, who lives in Brockhampton, said: ‘I very much hope that someone will feel able to take on the chairmanship, but would also hope that they can be supported by a committee secretary who would shoulder some of the administrative tasks.’

The next meeting takes place at 2.30pm next Wednesday at Bedhampton Social Hall. On the agenda is a discussion about the new Havant Civic Society.
