Creative children called to help design Hampshire's new library cards

CREATIVE children are being called on to help design Hampshire County Council's new library card.

The contest is the first of its kind in the county and is open to youngsters aged four to 11.

Two new designs are needed. Everything from swashbuckling pirates and pretty princesses to daring dragons could be included.

Entrants have until Friday, September 30 to enter their designs.

To enter the project, children need to join and complete this year’s summer reading challenge, The Big Friendly Read, to read six books.

The contest is split into two categories, four to seven years and eight to 11.

The winner of the younger group will receive a Kindle Fire Kids, and a copy of the book Where’s Will while the winner of the senior category will be given a 3Doodler and a copy of Where’s Will.
